How do you change or cancel a reservation made through Expedia?

Last weekend, I made a reservation through Expedia, and my trip was supposed to start in 2 weeks. I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately, something came up. Now, I don't think I can make the trip, so I need to either change or cancel this reservation. I would prefer to postpone it to the next month, but if that's not possible, I would need to cancel it altogether.
I don't know how to do either, though - could somebody help me? But also, is this going to cost me anything?

Expedia usually allows you to change a trip's date or cancel completely on their website or through their support, but this all depends on what you booked and who you booked with. Flights are notoriously difficult to change or cancel, and you're often better off talking to the airline directly. Accommodation is usually more lenient.
